The Effects of Taste Changes on the Quality of Life of Patients Receiving Chemotherapy Treatment

Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the effect taste changes on quality life in cancer patients taking chemotherapy Material and Methods: This descriptive was conducted between January 2020 September with receiving inpatient outpatient unit a university hospital. sample consisted 466 who met inclusion criteria received same treatment at Data were collected using Introductory Information Form, European Organization for Cancer Research Treatment Quality Life Scale Version 3 (EORTC QLQ-C30 3.0), Chemotherapy-Induced Taste Change (CiTAS). Results: While mean total score EORTC 62.97±13.31, CiTAS found be 40.43±17.84. Statistically significant correlations scores scales sub-dimension (p<0.001). In regression analysis, it that average individuals had statistically negative average. Conclusion: As consequence, determined negatively affect life.
